As far as chill island vibes goes, Caye Caulker has to be one of my favorite places I’ve ever visited. When you travel to Caye Caulker, it feels a bit like stepping far away from the realities of life in 2019 and taking it back to an era when time moved slower, technology ruled a bit less of our lives and community was paramount.
I love that on this tiny Belize island you run into the same people over and over again because it’s that small — there are truly only a few go-to watering holes and beaches where people spend most of their time here. This fosters a sense of community between both locals and visitors, so that by the end of a week or even a long weekend on Caye Caulker, you’ll be on a first name basis with your fellow shoeless, beach-going friends. That’s very rare these days and I hope if that doesn’t convince you to visit this special slice of paradise, then the following photos will!
