Lately I’ve been craving slower travel. Trips Lately I’ve been craving slower travel. Trips where I can breathe instead of rushing. Where there’s space to “see what happens” rather than needing everything to be planned out to a t. Experiences where I feel nourished and fulfilled rather than depleted when I return home. And speaking of home, I crave more of it. Or places that have that homey feeling. It’s a weird place to be when this page was founded during a time in my life when I was traveling full-time, zig zagging across continents like it was nothing. It’s hard to break free of the people we once were when there’s so much identity and expectation wrapped up in it. My soul still loves traveling to its core, but there’s a lot of renegotiating internally around what traveling means to me and what I want it to look like in the coming years. I’ll never stop experiencing new places around the world, but I feel like things are shifting. Where you are loved and accepted for who you are and whoever you want to be. Where the typical rules of society that keep us small are torn away. And where community gathers to rediscover the wonder and the play that keeps us feeling alive as humans. It’s a place where love, kindness, acceptance and open-minded are the guiding forces. These are just a few of the many reasons why I will continue to go back to Burning Man again and again.
