Wondering where to stay in Todos Santos? Consider this your comprehensive guide.

Todos Santos is one of the most laid-back, sleepy surf towns in all of Mexico, but it’s been growing in popularity and attracting more and more visitors every year.

While I’d love for this hidden gem to remain a secret forever, the pro of this rise in popularity is that over the past few years some really amazing hotels have been popping up around town.

If you’re trying to figure out where to stay in Todos Santos, you have a lot of great options to choose from that range from cozy little private casitas and trendy eco hotels to luxury beachfront boutique hotels

Want to wake up to the sound of the ocean waves crashing on the shore? You got it. Prefer to be in the bustle of town? There’s a spot for that too.

One thing’s for sure: If the big resorts and party scene of Los Cabos isn’t your speed and you prefer a more authentic, low-key Mexican beach town experience, Todos Santos should definitely be your next stop.

Below you’ll find a list of the best places to stay in Todos Santos that will cover all sorts of options for accommodations so you can find the perfect home base for your trip to this little slice of paradise in Baja California Sur.

Make sure to scroll to the bottom of the post for a handy map that shows you where each hotel is located in proximity to downtown Todos Santos.

Where to Stay in Todos Santos: Best Hotels

Curved architecture at Paradero Hotel Todos Santos

Paradero

A stunning—and I mean stunning, all-suite property with a modern minimalist design, Paradero should be on the top of everyone’s list of where to stay in Todos Santos.

Designed to blend into the desert landscape, Paradero is at the foot of the Sierra de la Laguna mountains about 15 minutes from downtown Todos Santos.

Though not a beachfront hotel, it’s absolutely beautiful and peaceful with impeccable service and a whole host of amazing experiences like cooking classes, morning hikes, and ocean safaris that are all included in your stay.

Their on-site eatery is amazing too and serves Mexican, Japanese, and French-inspired food set in a beautiful open-kitchen style restaurant. We ate the most fresh fish of our entire trip here and the whole dining experience was next level.

For those that appreciate luxury stays and architectural beauty, this is hands down one of the best places to stay in all of Todos Santos.

El Perdido Desert Dream guest room interior

El Perdido Desert Dream

An intimate boutique resort made up of only seven private villas, El Perdido is a true luxury experience located in El Pescadero, a small village about 15 minutes south of downtown Todos Santos.

The award-winning design features all-natural materials and feels luxe but also with cozy little touches that will make you feel right at home.

Every private villa has its own deck, hammock, and outdoor soaking tub and shower, and there’s a shared pool with plush outdoor beds to lounge on and a fresh, seasonal seafood menu at El Coyote.

Adventure and wellness experiences like ATV tours, horseback riding, sound baths, and beach picnics can be arranged.

Casa Santos architectural interior

Casa Santos

Nestled between the desert and the ocean, Casa Santos is an ultra-modern, eight-suite property that’s just a short walk to the beach.

This B&B has a striking minimalist concrete design and the architects who designed it won a bunch of design awards including Mexico’s “Building of the Year.”

While your stay here will be a bit light on amenities, there’s a pool and sundeck, breakfast served daily (that’s vegan and gluten-free-friendly), and it’s in a great location for easy access to desert hiking trails, the beach, and The Green Room (one of Baja’s best sunset drink spots).

Beautiful architecture of Villa Cruz, Todos Santos

Villa Santa Cruz

If waking up to the sound of crashing waves is calling your name, then you need to check out Villa Santa Cruz.

This hotel is a 16-room, boutique resort where you can choose from glamping-style tented suites that are right on the beach, bungalows with ocean views, or charming villas.

The secluded oceanfront location and gorgeous grounds make it one of the best options for where to stay in Todos Santos.

Plus, their amazing on-site restaurant happens to be The Green Room, which is one of the most popular places to grab a drink and catch the sunset in all of Todos Santos.

Outside of Tribu Todos Santos, where to stay in Todos Santos

Tribu Todos Santos

Tribu Todos Santos is a really cool hotel and retreat center that’s right on the beach and offers unique accommodations like teepees that you can stay in.

This is a fun option for where to stay in Todos Santos that’s right on the beach and has an infinity pool, yoga studio, fire pit, free bikes, and a full-service spa.

They also host retreats year-round, so check out the calendar to see what’s coming up during your trip dates.

La Bohemia Baja Hotel Pequeño

They call themselves “a hotel for travelers by travelers” and at La Bohemia Baja Hotel Pequeño you’ll get laidback, boho vibes just blocks away from downtown Todos Santos.

I stayed here during my last trip to Todos Santos and really loved the walkable location to downtown as well as the friendly staff and overall bohemian vibes. Plus, they include a really delicious free breakfast each morning with your stay.

The only downside of our stay here was the noise as it’s right in the bustle of downtown, but it’s hard to say if this is a regular occurrence or if we just hit a busy weekend.

They have nine total rooms here that are simple with fun and vibrant design touches and some great amenities like an outdoor pool, access for guests to their hotel beach club, El Faro, and a covered patio that offers everything from yoga classes to mezcal tastings.

Guest room interior at Perro surfero accommodation in Todos Santos

Perro Surfero Hotel

For the digital nomads out there, Perro Surfero Hotel is a great affordable option for your stay in Todos Santos if you’re hoping to hunker down and get some work done.

It’s just a few minutes from the heart of downtown and has a community-centric vibe with clean, comfortable rooms, a dedicated co-working space with fast wifi (which isn’t always easy to find in Mexico), a gym, a pool, and a community kitchen and lounge.

They even host bi-weekly ice baths!

Hotel San Cristobal, one of the best places to stay in Todos Santos

Hotel San Cristobal

“All good things are found at the end of a dirt road” and that couldn’t be more true when it comes to Hotel San Cristobal.

This hotel gets a lot of hype for being one of the best hotels in Todos Santos.

The design at Hotel San Cristobal is sophisticated with authentic Mexican details, and the location right on the Pacific with views of the surrounding mountains make for a stunning backdrop.

There aren’t a ton of hotel offerings in this part of Baja that sit just feet from the ocean, but this is one of them, so if that’s an important factor for your stay, you’ll definitely want to consider booking here.

In addition to its seaside location, the hotel has two excellent on-site restaurants and a pool-side bar that serves fresh food and cocktails, so you can really hunker down here and relax during your stay.

If you’re trying to decide where to stay in Todos Santos and know you want to be right on the beach, Hotel San Cristobal is absolutely one of the best options.

Interior at Hacienda Todos Los Santos, where to stay in Todos Santos

Hacienda Todos Los Santos

If you’re trying to figure out where to stay in Todos Santos and want to be close to downtown but still have it feel secluded, Hacienda Todos Los Santos is a perfect option.

This spot is in the heart of downtown within walking distance to everything, and the property is gorgeous with tropical gardens, an outdoor pool, and amazing views.

The four luxurious suites all have separate living areas, private terraces, and kitchens, and are decorated in more of a traditional/colonial Mexican style.

Property at Desierto Azul

Desierto Azul

Desierto Azul is a beautiful and intimate boutique hotel that has a focus on sustainability and plant-based living.

Located in the desert surrounded by Baja cacti, it’s just a short walk to both the beach and into town so you’ll get the best of both worlds when staying here.

The design at Desierto Azul is gorgeous and minimal with an emphasis on natural textures and there are only four rooms, so there’s a very private and relaxing vibe overall.

What makes a stay here really unique though is its plant-based cooking studio where you can sign up for a variety of culinary classes that all emphasize healthy, plant-based cooking.

Hotel So Far So Good guest room interior

Hotel So Far So Good

A trendy little eco hotel located in Cerritos surf town (about 15 minutes from downtown Todos Santos), Hotel So Far So Good is just a short walk to Cerritos Beach and offers stylish rooms that are simple and comfortable.

This hotel has some fun amenities too, like rooftop terraces, free bike and surfboard rentals, an on-site plant-based restaurant, yoga classes, and beach picnic setup to make your time by the water extra special.

Villas La Mar Todos Santos ocean view from room

Villas La Mar

Carved into a cliff overlooking the Pacific, Villas La Mar is a top choice if you’re looking for a spot right on the water.

The views here are breathtaking, the location is secluded and peaceful, and they offer both rooms and suites that are beautifully designed and have unreal views of the Baja coastline.

It’s worth noting that because of its location, there are a lot of steps to climb here so it might not be the best option for all travelers.

Where to Stay in Todos Santos: Best Home Rentals

Backyard patio at Cien Palmas

Cien Palmas

This place has all the boho Baja vibes and is right in the heart of downtown Todos Santos.

Cien Palmas has three dreamy casitas that were all recently renovated and provide apartment-style accommodations that include a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen area, and a shared outdoor area with hammocks and daybeds.

Extra bonus: They just opened an on-site cafe and bar where you can get brunch, dinner, and cocktails.

Casa Arbol

If you don’t want to go the hotel route and are on the hunt for an Airbnb/VRBO in Todos Santos, check out Casa Arbol.

It’s part of a small cluster of six cute and cozy vacation homes called Villa Gardenia and is the perfect size for a couple or small family.

Casa Arbol has one bedroom, a bathroom, a living area, and a private outdoor garden with ocean views and access to a shared pool.

Location-wise it’s only a five minute walk to the beach and a short drive to downtown, so ideal if staying right on the beach isn’t in budget but you still want to be close by.

One huge pro here too is that they offer daily maid service which you don’t often get with Airbnb!

FAQ: Picking Accommodation in Todos Santos

What are the different neighborhoods that make up Todos Santos?

The downtown area of Todos Santos is set away from the beach and is pretty tiny—you can walk the entire town in a few hours, easy.

This is a great area to base yourself in if you want a lot of places to be walkable, but you’ll still have to hop in the car to get to the beach.

There are several neighboring areas that are technically separate towns but are considered part of Todos Santos and are all within a 20 minutes drive from Todos Santos Centro.

El Pescadero and Cerritos Beach are two of the most popular beach towns to stay in and have pretty well developed roads that connect them to Centro.

El Otro Lado and Las Tunas are more up and coming areas just North of Todos Santos with infrastructure that is a bit more rustic at the moment. However, you can find some really fun cafes and hotels here. Just be prepared for some dusty, bumpy roads along this route.

What are the best areas to stay in Todos Santos?

Todos Santos and everything there is to see and do nearby is pretty spread out in general, so it’s hard to pinpoint one absolute best area to stay in.

However, Todos Santos Centro is ideal if you want to be within walking distance to some of the best shopping and restaurants in town. If you’d rather be by the beach, El Pescadero and Cerritos Beach are two great options that are within 15 minutes drive to Todos Santos Centro.

What different accommodation options are available in Todos Santos?

Todos Santos is very different from nearby Los Cabos when it comes to accommodations.

Whereas in Cabo you’ll find massive sprawling resorts, Todos Santos accommodations are made up of more boutique hotels and chic Airbnb and VRBO rentals.

If you’re looking for resort vibes, Rancho Pescadero which was recently bought by Hyatt is your best bet, however it’s temporarily closed and I’m unsure of when it will reopen to the public.
